PLANO, Texas — Axenic Health Solutions, Inc. announces laboratory test data, from industry respected Nelson Laboratories, LLC, (nelsonlabs.com) showing that its patent pending multi-SiQuat based Q ShieldTM Hand had notable activity against several common pathogens. Nelson Labs conducted a series of “kill tests” that are consistent with the industry standard testing requirements. Testing showed that after 30 seconds of exposure to Q Shield Hand, there was a significant reduction in the presence of detectable pathogens tested – see Table 1 below for a summary of the results. “Kill testing” protocols dictate that testing is conducted to a maximum of 10 minutes. Although it should be noted that persistence testing was not part of this study, QShield Hand results also demonstrated no increase in the levels of the bacteria and fungi representative in this study after 10 minutes.
Overall, we believe that these laboratory test results of Q Shield Hand, while subject to the limitations discussed below, are significant and may support additional research and development activities. Further they are consistent with the laboratory test results on the SARS-CoV-2 virus “kill test” conducted in a separate study at the University of Alberta, Provincial Laboratory.
LIMITATIONS & DISCLOSURE:
This test was conducted at an independent FDA-registered laboratory and GMP, GLP, and GTP compliant testing lab with ISO 17025 accreditation. Nelson Labs uses the latest industry accepted standards and processes. Laboratory testing of Q Shield took place in a controlled laboratory setting and data beyond 10 minutes of application were not captured. These data have not been reviewed or evaluated by the U.S. FDA. The FDA has not approved Q Shield safe and effective against any specific pathogen.
